International Quds Day Ceremony: Iranian Ambassador Expresses Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Praises Pakistan’s Government and Public Support
Islamabad (Special Correspondent) –* On the occasion of International Quds Day, a special ceremony was held in Islamabad where the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and strongly condemned Israeli aggression. He urged the international community, especially Muslim nations, to take more practical steps in support of the Palestinian people and adopt effective strategies to stop Israeli atrocities.
Significance of Quds Day
In his speech, the Iranian Ambassador highlighted the historic decision of Imam Khomeini (RA), who declared the last Friday of Ramadan as Quds Day. He emphasized that this day is observed every year and is gaining increasing significance over time. Quds Day has become a global symbol of solidarity with the Palestinian people and resistance against Israeli oppression.
### *Post-October 7, 2023, Developments and Palestinian Resistance*
Referring to the events following October 7, 2023, the Iranian Ambassador noted that in recent months, the world has witnessed two contrasting realities. On one hand, there is Israel’s brutal aggression and genocide against the Palestinian people, which enjoys full support from Western powers, particularly the United States. On the other hand, there is Palestinian resistance, particularly from Hamas, which has demonstrated its strength through resilience, military strategy, and prisoner exchange deals.
He stated that while Israel once spoke of completely eliminating Hamas, it is now compelled to engage in direct negotiations. This situation is clear evidence that the Palestinian resistance is not only ongoing but growing stronger by the day.
### *Iran’s Unwavering Support*
The Iranian Ambassador reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran stands in full solidarity with the Palestinian people and the oppressed citizens of Gaza and will continue to provide every possible support against Israeli aggression. He reiterated Iran’s commitment to supporting Palestine until the complete liberation of Al-Quds.

He expressed regret over the silence of some governments and the ineffective international response to Israeli aggression. He pointed out that, unfortunately, several Islamic countries have also failed to take effective measures against Israeli oppression, leading to suffering for Muslims from Lebanon to Yemen.
Despite media censorship and Western propaganda, he noted, there is a growing global movement exposing Israel’s atrocities and raising voices in support of the Palestinian cause.

The Iranian Ambassador praised the role of the Pakistani government, people, and media, stating that Pakistan has always supported the Palestinian cause and played a key role in highlighting the issue on the international stage.
