The severe air pollution crisis persists across Punjab, with the provincial capital, Lahore, ranking as the second most polluted city in the world, recording an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of 324.
The situation is equally alarming in other major cities: Faisalabad is the worst affected with AQI touching 400, while Gujranwala hits 300 and Multan records 265. Health experts strongly advise citizens to use masks, avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure, and increase the use of air purifiers indoors to mitigate health risks.
